From Spring 2014 to Spring 2015 I'm gathering and grouping photographs of London. Some taken on wanders around the city over this year and some re-found on old hard drives and photo albums.
I'm constantly surprised how routes I've walked for years can suddenly change or a step up a side street can reveal an unknown location with a completely different atmosphere.
Wandering with my camera outside is a healthy antidote to sitting in my computer chair. What I see, what I photograph and sometimes the things I don't photograph all feed heavily into my illustration work and how I see the world.
Though I grew up in the countryside and see myself as a country person as I get closer to the inevitable leaving of London I realise how much I adore cities - their cultural and visual diversity and the layers of time piled on top of each building and place.
